Small Group Leader (Connection Small Group)

 

Description

 

The Small Group Leader will shepherd a small group.  The Leader will do this by helping group members connect, grow, and serve as God leads them.   The Leader will be the point person for the group and will be cared for by a ministry supervising Coach.  The Leader will develop a host and an apprentice to help lead his/her group and to work in partnership towards fulfilling the Great Commission of Matt 28.  The Small Group Leader’s primary focus will be to foster a healthy community where group members will live a Luke 10 Lifestyle and partner together in an Isaiah 58 Ministry.

A Small Group Leader will…

 

Do These Things in this Role

·  Foster interaction among group members both during and between group meetings

·  Help group members develop and work through a personal growth plan

·  Identify a leadership team to help with leading his/her small group

·  Show the group how to reach out and invite others into their small group community

 

Agree To These Requirements

·  Be willing to serve one year while taking into account his/her specific life schedule

·  Be willing to be mentored by a ministry Coach through 7 interactions annually *

·  Be willing to grow by pursuing small group training as applicable for his/her situation

·  Pursue completing a membership class, leader application, and growth plan as applicable

 

Time Commitment

 

·  2 hours/meeting – Facilitate, attend, and participate in group meetings

·  2 hours/week – Prepare for, contact, pray for, and work with members as schedule permits

·  2 hours/month – Meet for church-wide, departmental, or Coach mentoring
