Small Group DIRECTOR Role Description
Title
Small Group Director
(Connection Small Group)
Description
The Small Group Director will
shepherd, encourage, and train Small Group Coaches. The Director will do this by helping the coach
connect, grow, and serve as God leads.
The Director will be the point person for the coaches to connect with
the church and be cared for in his/her role as Small Group Coach. The Director
will work with their Pastor to develop Coaches and Director Apprentices to
partner together in fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28. The Small Group Director’s primary focus is
to care for, equip, and send out Small Group Coaches who will live a Luke 10
Lifestyle and partner together in an Isaiah 58 Ministry.

for coaches by providing shepherding, encouragement, and training

apprentices to help expand the ministry
· Expand and support
the small group ministry in partnership with his/her Pastor
Agree To These
Requirements
· Be willing to serve one year while t
· Be willing to be mentored by a ministry supervisor
through 7 interactions annually *
· Be willing to grow by pursuing training as applicable
for his/her role
· Pursue completing a membership class, leadership application,
and growth plan as applicable
· Have served as a Small Group Coach for 2 years or have
equivalent ministry/work experience
Time Commitment
· 2 hours/week – Prepare for, contact, pray for, and
meet with coaches as schedule permits
· 2 hours/month – Meet for church-wide, departmental, or
ministry supervisor mentoring
