Title
Small Group Coach (Connection
Small Group)
Description
The Small Group Coach will
shepherd, encourage, and train Small Group Leaders. The Coach will do this by helping the leader
connect, grow, and serve as God leads.
The Coach will be the point person for the leader to connect with the
church and be cared for in his/her role as Small Group Leader. The Coach will
work with their Small Group Director to develop Small Group Leaders and Coach
Apprentices to partner together in fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew
28. The Small Group Coach’s primary
focus is to care for, equip, and send out Small Group Leaders who will live a
Luke 10 Lifestyle and partner together in an Isaiah 58 Ministry.

Role
· Provide care
for leaders by providing shepherding, encouragement, and training
· Mentor leaders
through one-to-one meetings, huddles, group visits, etc…
· Develop a
coaching leadership team of apprentices to help expand the ministry
· Expand and
support the small group ministry in partnership with his/her Director
Agree To These
Requirements
· Be willing to serve one year while t
· Be willing to be mentored by a ministry supervisor
through 7 interactions annually *
· Be willing to grow by pursuing training as applicable
for his/her role (e.g. Coach Class)
· Pursue completing a membership class, leader
application, and growth plan as applicable
· Have served as a small group leader for 2 years or
have equivalent ministry/work experience
Time Commitment
· 2 hours/week – Prepare for, contact, pray for, and
meet with leaders as schedule permits
· 2 hours/month – Meet for church-wide, departmental, or
Ministry Supervisor mentoring
